Tega Cay, South Carolina, is gearing up for an unforgettable Fourth of July celebration with events planned from dawn till dusk, offering something for everyone. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this All-American Celebration promises a day filled with patriotism, fun, and community spirit.
Parade (Step-Off 9:00 AM)
The festivities begin bright and early with the All-American Celebration Parade, stepping off at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 4th. The parade route starts at Tega Cay Elementary School, traveling down Tega Cay Drive and ending at Windward Drive. Be sure to arrive early, as Tega Cay Drive will be closed at 8:45 AM. Parade emcees will announce all entries from the parking entrance of the Tega Cay Police Department, adding to the excitement and ensuring everyone knows who’s passing by.

Fish Fry (4:00 PM)
After a morning of parade fun, head over to the Glennon Center from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM for the Annual Fish Fry presented by the Tega Cay Lion’s Club. Enjoy a delicious meal with a choice of flounder or chicken tenders, accompanied by hush puppies, cole slaw, and potato salad, with sweet or unsweet iced tea to wash it all down. Mayor’s State of the City and Tega Cay’s 41st Birthday Celebration (4:30 PM)
Also located in the Glennon Center, Mayor Gray will give an update on the city at 4:30 PM and celebrate Tega Cay’s 41st birthday by cutting the city’s birthday cake. This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the community and celebrate its milestones.
“Boom in the Cay” Fireworks (9:30 PM)
Cap off the day with the spectacular “Boom in the Cay” fireworks display at 9:30 PM, or as soon as it gets dark, outside the Glennon Center. The Carolina sky will be illuminated with a dazzling array of fireworks, making for a perfect end to a day of celebration. Note that the schedule may change in the event of inclement weather.
Parking Information:
- Limited parking is available at the Glennon Center and Tega Cay Golf & Conference Center.
- Overflow parking will be directed to Runde Park and the overflow parking at The Golf Club.
- No parking is allowed on Tega Cay Drive, including the shoulders and median.

Tega Cay’s “All-American Celebration” Water Ski Show, Paddle Board & Boat Parade – Friday, July 5
The celebration continues on Friday, July 5th, at Windjammer Park for an evening filled with exciting water activities and shows.
The Goat Boat Freedom SUP Fun Run (5:00 PM):
Participants can paddle a short course against friends and foes, with all ages and abilities welcome. Pre-registration is highly encouraged as day-of registration is not guaranteed.
Tega Cay Flotilla Parade (Boats Float-Off at Niven’s Creek 5:00 PM) and Carolina Show Ski Team
The popular Tega Cay Boat Parade floats off at Niven’s Creek and arrives at Windjammer Park by 6:00 PM. Register for the Flotilla parade.
The Carolina Show Ski Team will perform thrilling water stunts, showcasing their nationally recognized skills at 6:30 PM.
Parking Information:
- Windjammer Park will be closed to vehicles from 3 PM to 9 PM.
- Free shuttle service will be available from the Glennon Center and Runde Park.

Tega Cay’s “Uncle Sam Jam” Concert – Saturday, July 6
The celebration wraps up with the “Uncle Sam Jam” Concert on Saturday, July 6th, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Runde Park. Enjoy pre-band music starting at 6:00 PM, followed by a performance by the Laura Vinson Band at 7:00 PM. Food trucks and a beer truck will be on-site, along with a free Kids Zone for children aged 3 to 13.

- Concert parking is available at Tega Cay Elementary School with free shuttle service from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
- On-street parking is allowed on Windward and Tega Cay Drive.
