Tega Cay, SC (Tega Cay Sun) – Tega Hills Farm announced on their Facebook page that Friday, July 28th will be their last day of operation. According to their website, Tega Hills Farm has been growing produce on their farm since 1999. They specialize in growing lettuces, microgreens, herbs and other produce year-round in their greenhouses. They sell directly to restaurants, hotels, country clubs, customers at local farmers’ markets in the Charlotte, NC, area, as well as directly to the public at their farm stand on Zoar Road. Anyone who has driven to the Palisades has driven by the farm stand.
Reactions of Facebook were thankful and sad, as long time customers will have to look for a new local farm stand to purchase fresh, locally grown produce.
If you have time Thursday or Friday between 12 and 4pm, swing by and pick up some local produce and thank Tega Hills Farm for their long commitment to the community.
