Tega Cay, SC – The Tega Cay City Council voted on Monday, July 10, 2023 to extend the City Manager’s contract for 4 years. The salary will be $172,500 and he serves at the pleasure of City Council. If the city manager is fired without cause, he would receive four months severance pay. If the termination is for cause, there is no severance pay. Council discussed the facts that Tega Cay is a highly rated city in every category, most as the best in South Carolina and the city has not raised taxes in 13 years.
