York County Library (YCL) offers two types of Park Passports: Ebenezer Park Passports and SC State Park Passports. Both passports provide unlimited park entry for everyone in the vehicle and can be checked out at all YCL locations.
Ebenezer Park Passport
The Ebenezer Park Passport provides access to Ebenezer and Allison Creek Parks. Ebenezer Park is a 26-acre park located north of Rock Hill on the shores of Lake Wylie. It offers a variety of daytime recreational opportunities, including hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming. The park also has 66 campsites for overnight stays.
SC State Park Passport
The SC State Park Passport provides entry to all 47 SC state parks. It also includes free admission to select historic home tours, the lighthouse at Hunting Island State Park, and Atalaya Castle at Huntington Beach State Park.
How to Get a Park Passport
To get a Park Passport, visit any YCL location. You will need to present a valid YCL membership card. Passports are checked out for a one-week period.
To reserve a passport online, you can simply YCL online catalog for the following keywords:
- Ebenezer Park Pass
- SC Park Pass
Once you have found the passport you want, you can click on the “Borrow” button to reserve it. You will need to have a valid YCL membership card in order to borrow a passport.
Here are the steps on how to borrow a passport:
- Go to the YCL website and log in to your account.
- Click on the “Online Catalog” tab.
- In the search bar, type in either “Ebenezer Park Pass” or “SC Park Pass.”
- Click on the “Borrow” button next to the passport you want to borrow.
- Enter your YCL membership card number and click on the “Borrow” button again.
Your passport will be reserved for you for one week. You can pick it up at any YCL location.
